Hello friend, thank for the website, as a guidline how to disamble laptop.
I have a vostro 1200, the problem is no display when push the on button but 3 indicator is on. How do i fix this? Thank You Sir.

My hinge cover was stuck at the middle, couldn’t get it out

I am planning to clean the Vostro 1200 laptop and upgrade Ram while at it , what type of memory and no of slot are there from the image you showed? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ah the hinge cover was where I was getting stuck, i guess its the part that doesnt look like it should come off.

Very informative. I have a Dell Studio 17, and the eject button for the ROM drive is stuck. I need to disassemble it to see what’s up. The ROM does not open, the CDs/DVDs are slipped in like a car audio. Any suggestions?
