It has become a growing trend whereby bloggers and website owners use Facebook’s multi-functional platform to spread their new articles over a wide array of readers. The application I am going to talk about today would be the built-in “Notes” application.
Facebook Notes in Detail
Facebook Notes, from what I can perceive is actually a mini blog for Facebook users. I have seen many friends posting their own Notes before, emotional Notes usually. The use of Facebook Notes does not just stop there.
Stretching further we have the “Import an External Blog” function. That is the function you can use to synchronize your website (blog) articles to Facebook Notes.
How does Import External Blog work?
FB Notes will be notified as your RSS feed is updated. It reproduces another a copy of your article and post it on your FB News Feed. However, the setback for this function is that you will not have hits to your blog because your readers actually read your article on Facebook.
I personally think having more readers to read your article on many platforms is better than limiting reader’s access to your articles only on your website.
How To Do It
As you can see at the bottom of the Facebook user interface, you can see the Application Bar, or whatever it is called. Let’s call it application bar for the time being.
At the most bottom left there is a button named Application. Click on that you will see the past application you have used before and the lot. Look for the application called Notes that has an icon of a notepad.

On next page, you will get to see all of your friend’s notes. On the right panel, there is this Notes Settings.

If you want to start writing notes right away, you could just click on the Write a New Note located at the top of Notes Settings. Otherwise, click on the Import a blog link.
Next you will see a textbox where you get to type in your RSS feed address.

Type in your RSS feed address, tick the disclaimer and import away.

That’s awesome.
It seems that everything can be linked to or connected to social sites these days, but hey, I’m not complaining.
My o my how things have changed on facebook, I joined facebook pretty much 5 years ago, but things have really changed alot! This is definitely one of those cooler features that we should of had a while ago =D
I also agree with you that its best to have them at least read it :D
Till then,

Very insightful and informative post. This post outlines some very good strategies for making facebook even better. Nice work.
The friends Lindol was making on the road were also interested in following his trail, so he began handing out old business cards and inviting people to find him on Facebook. He went through his cards so quickly that he soon had to make new ones specifically for this purpose.
when your birthday is coming up, does facebook automatically put it under events, or do you have to do it?
Hi i think In that regard, many Inside Facebook readers have asked about the best way to automatically feed blog posts from their company website to their Facebook page.
Really awesome post. I have a Facebook a/c but didn’t know before about it. It will increase my visitors and i can easily share my thoughts and ideas with all my friends. Thanks for such informative post buddy.
No, I will never try this to integrate my blog post with facebook because will tend to read my entry in facebook notes only not in my site which may decrease the number of visitors you have in your site.
Sometimes, you want to keep your facebook account separate from your blog posting….
