Weekly Cycling Exercise – For 4 Freaking Weeks

In this test I was trained sort of like an athlete (but not the professional type). I had to do this training for 3 times a week for 4 consecutive weeks. Each training takes about 30 minutes of cycling NONSTOP.

Before I start doing anything, my weight and blood pressure was taken prior to the test. Then, I had to wear a heart beat regulator to monitor my heart beat.

Then off I go cycling. Stupid me did not do any stretching again at all and after 5 minutes of cycling at 70 RPM with 1.5 weight, I was out of breath. I can not stop as this testing has to be continuous for 30 minutes, so Michael lowered down the weight to 1.1.

At that time, I was just starting to slowly regain back my strength to cycle back to 70 WPM. Thanks to the power of our human mind, I kind of imagine myself running and scoring every basketball shots while cycling. Then it got better for another 10 minutes until I’m out again. Then Michael had to lower it down again.

In almost the entire course, I was just imagining about myself playing basketball, until I completed the whole test. So in other words, just say I was cheating myself. Haha

After all the cycling, my ass felt like it was going to break! Imagine the feeling … and my leg feels sour that I had difficulty even walking the stairs. Before I go, my weight and blood pressure was taken again. To my surprise I lost a total of 300-500 grams of water! Wow, how many percentage of fat I had lost ? Imagine if I had to do that for 12 times.

While waiting, I talked to Michael Goldberg about some of the details of the test. From there, I know how I fair with the other subjects. I noticed only 3 things, my VO2Max sucks, my arm’s vascular resistance and my leg’s vascular resistance which were obtained by the Cardiovascular Assessment is one of the best .

My VO2Max was poor, it’s only about 37.57 while the best subject there got about 50. Vascular resistance means the resistance of blood flow in your artery. Amazingly, I am one of the best to have lower vascular resistance compared to other subjects.

On a whole, this was a great test. I am very positive that my VO2Max testing will improve.
