This seems to be really great info. I have yet to try this, but I want to replace my screen on my E1505 and I thought I would have to take it somewhere to do this. This article shows that it's not that hard at all and I will definitely try this if I decide for sure to replace my screen. Thanks!

Wow, totally timely and useful since one of our laptops need a new LCD housing and I didn't want to pay someone to do this for me, thanks! One tip for step 7 of removing the bezel that made it quite easy for me and might help others with what you found to be a difficult step. I started at one bottom corner by a hinge and slipped in a thickish flat head screwdriver head, not too far, just enough that the thick head started to separate the bezel, then I slowly slid it upwards along the side with a few wiggles and it easily and neatly popped off the clasps as I went. Do the same thing on the other side and now the bezel is free on both sides and the bottom. Carefully do the same thing at the top and before you know it the bezel is off, nothing broken, no worries about forcing anything or breaking anything. I used this same method to get off the hinge cover, by the way, using a small flat head on the indent on the right side to get it started, then very carefully slid a thicker flat head along the bottom edge, giving it little twists when you meet the resistance of a clasp and it pops right off with no worries about breaking this thin piece of plastic since you're not bending the whole thing, just don't put it in too far so you don't have to worry about jabbing anything you shouldn't or snapping off anything you don't want snapped off.
